Chris Chiari is an entrepreneur and local community leader. As the president of American Millennium Investment Corp., Chris has worked since 1996 with a variety of companies in a multitude of fields providing business consulting, forecasting and corporate reorganizations.
A graduate of Admiral Farragut Academy, Chris
went on to study Economics at Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Upon graduating he moved to California where he started his company
American Millennium and began a multi-year span of working with successful
emerging growth companies as they refined their goals and built their
businesses. In 2000, Chris moved to South Florida full-time, following
his
strong connections with the community
in Broward County.
Over the last several years, Chris has become increasingly active as both a political and community leader. An officer and board member of several local Democratic clubs, he now serves as the President of the Broward Young Democrats and sits on the Management committee of the Broward County Democratic Executive Committee.
Chris currently serves on two influential boards
in Broward County. First, as a member of the Facilities Task Force for
the Broward County School Board, he spends time in our classrooms investigating
air quality and environmental complaints submitted by teachers and administrators.
Additionally, since March of 2007, Chris has been working actively as
a member of the Broward County Marine Advisory Board on issues regarding
recreational boating.
For the past seven years, Chris has been actively involved with his High School Alma Matter, Admiral Farragut Academy, the country's only Naval Military Honor High School. As President of the Academy Alumni Association and now as a member the Academy Endowments Board, Chris has dedicated himself to giving back to an institution that he credits with providing him the foundation for his life and career successes.
In 2006, Chris ran for the Florida State House of Representatives. Although he was outspent eleven to one, he shocked the establishment by earning over forty-six percent of the vote. Poised to build on that success, Chris filed to run again as a candidate for District 91 for 2008.
Chris is working tirelessly to protect the people, land, and business
of our local communities from the special interests that have controlled
the state of Florida for too many years. Promising a campaign of "ideas
over ideology," and with the support and encouragement of local Republican
and Democratic leaders, the election of Chris Chiari to the State House
in November of 2008, will return the interests of our community to the
halls of Tallahassee.
